Northern Waves Reschedules Oslo TV Conference to 2022

Norigin Media, the organisers of Northern Waves TV have today announced that the conference will not take place in Oslo in 2021. The TV technology and business conference will instead become a series of online compact conferences in the spring and autumn of 2021.

The online event, branded Nordic TV Week was a success in 2020, in a uniquely short 1-hour long conference format across a week. The Autumn 2020 edition featured a number of speakers from the public Broadcasters in Norway (NRK), Sweden (SVT) and Finland (Yle), Finnish Pay TV Operator Elisa, as well as Discovery in the UK and Google. A large number of viewers attended the live events over three days with very positive feedback. The hosts, Norigin Media also presented live demos of the most popular services in the Nordics, including Viaplay, TV 2 Sumo and RiksTV. The spring 2021 agenda will feature many more industry leaders in the region, covering topics ranging from technology to business and UI/UX.

“We started Northern Waves TV three years ago to bring the industry together and align on standards for streaming technologies, as well as business best practices,” says Ajey Anand, CEO of Norigin Media and creator of Northern Waves TV. “While we are not able to host it physically this year, we aim to provide an online event that replaces the value of a physical conference. Nordic TV Week is what I believe to be the world’s shortest conference, and I’m looking forward to the next edition!”

Northern Waves TV, and Nordic TV Week are presented by Norigin Media, a Scandinavian company offering streaming technology solutions.
